Why is Emotional Regulation so Important? Part Three: You Teach Others.

In the last of this little 3 part series on why emotional regulation is so important, we touch on the fact that when we are emotionally regulated, we teach others what emotional regulation looks like. 

The importance of witnesses on our path to virtue is invaluable. In fact, growing in virtue without witnesses is near impossible! 

As mothers, the best way to teach our children emotional regulation is to embody it.  This is the best way to teach our children....anything!

You cannot emotional regulate if you aren't taking basic care of yourself.  When you are a young mom, I know it's so hard to do even the basics! But the point is to do what you can, and start with awareness of where you are
